Hi, I’m Huilin Chen and my friends in India call me Lin. I’m originally from Taiwan and happily married to Navin Gupta (Mr. Managing Director, South Asia and MENA, Ripple). Life has led me to live in various countries, including Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, the USA, India (Mumbai, Gurgaon) and Dubai.
My academic journey has taken me to Japan for my undergraduate studies, Germany to learn German, and the USA for my MBA. For the past 12 years, I’ve been a search consultant in the semiconductor industry, helping recruit CEOs and Engineers.
In 2017, I discovered that many consultants in India charged hefty commission fees to foreign universities for sending Indian students. This revelation shocked me, highlighting bias towards paying universities and a lack of concern for the students’ futures. Determined to make a positive change, I founded EduCare Taiwan. Starting with just an idea in 2018, I began my journey as an Education Specialist. Despite facing challenges, my team and I seized the opportunity presented by the webinar boom in May 2020. As of December 2022, we’ve organized over 105 webinars, engaging more than 26,000 active students.
Our first batch of Consultation students achieved remarkable success, gaining admission to their desired universities. All our Engineering and MBA students secured admission to top National Universities with tuition waivers. These achievements make me proud, but it’s the ongoing dedication of the EduCare Taiwan Team that truly matters. We’ve worked tirelessly to provide our students with the best, day in and day out and We are committed to continuing this journey of support and success.
Meet Huilin Chen, Founder of EduCare Taiwan
Huilin Chen, known fondly as Lin among her Indian friends, is the Founder of EduCare Taiwan — an organization committed to helping Indian students access world-class education opportunities in Taiwan with honesty, affordability, and care.
With an international background spanning Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, the USA, India, and Dubai, Huilin brings a truly global perspective to her work. Her passion for ethical education consulting was shaped by what she witnessed in 2017 — the widespread practice of education agents in India prioritizing commissions over students’ best interests.
Motivated by a desire to bring transparency to the study abroad process, she founded EduCare Taiwan in 2018. Since then, her mission has been simple yet powerful: to ensure that students receive unbiased guidance based on their true potential, academic interests, and long-term career goals — not on commercial incentives.
Under her leadership, EduCare Taiwan has become a trusted resource for hundreds of Indian students aspiring to study in Taiwan’s top universities.
Academic and Professional Background
Huilin Chen’s academic journey reflects her global outlook and passion for continuous learning. She completed her undergraduate studies at Nagoya University in Japan, followed by language studies in Germany, where she learned German. She later earned her MBA in the United States, gaining both academic and cultural exposure across continents.
For the past 12 years, Huilin has worked as a search consultant in the semiconductor industry, specializing in the recruitment of senior executives and highly skilled engineers.
Despite her success in the corporate world, Huilin finds her greatest fulfillment in supporting students. Through EduCare Taiwan, she and her team are committed to providing students with more than just admission guidance — they help students access scholarships, explore career opportunities, and experience personal and professional growth while studying in Taiwan.

The Journey Behind EduCare Taiwan’s Trusted Pathway
From a solo initiative, EduCare Taiwan has now grown into a recognized platform supporting Indian students aspiring to study in Taiwan. By July 2024, we had hosted over 140 webinars, engaging more than 26,000 students.
Thanks to the collective efforts of my incredible team, our first batch of consultation students secured admissions to top national universities in Taiwan, with most receiving tuition waivers. These results reaffirm our belief in ethical, student-centered counselling.

– Organize in-person meet-ups with students across key cities such as Taipei, Tainan, Taichung, and Hsinchu
– Discuss students’ academic experiences, campus life, and any challenges they may be facing

– Document student journeys to inspire future applicants and grow our supportive community

Building India–Taiwan Academic Alliances
Unlike most education consultants, Huilin Chen believes in nurturing relationships not only with students but also with the faculty who mentor them. Classrooms, laboratories, and staff rooms are where global aspirations are born—and that’s exactly where she chooses to be. By involving Indian professors as endorsers, EduCare Taiwan has fostered a credible, informed, and research-oriented pathway for students. These mentors now play an important role in recommending Taiwan as a top destination for higher studies.
In 2020, Huilin Chen, founder of EduCare Taiwan, took a bold step beyond student counselling. She personally visited top colleges in Pune, engaging directly with department heads and professors to spark deeper academic collaborations between India and Taiwan. This initiative wasn’t just about outreach. It was about building a long-term support system for students interested in pursuing higher education and research opportunities in Taiwan.
During her visit, Huilin Chen held strategic discussions that focused on:
- Identifying eligible students for fully-funded master’s and PhD programs
- Mapping the academic strengths of departments in science, technology, and management
- Introducing professors to Taiwan’s top universities, research funding, and scholarship options
- Exploring research-based collaborations, including thesis projects and internships
These high-impact conversations laid the foundation for sustainable academic exchange and mentorship across borders.
